More Scrapping

I've been quite busy scrapping on and off over the last few days. Here are my latest layouts.

Becca sharing her picnic with a couple of sparrows. I've used Sarah's Cards June kit - Sassafrass papers and Thickers

This is for our team's sketch (Page Maps June sketch) Using Crate Papers and Banana Frog stamps.

Jamie at the beginning of Year 4, using Basic Grey papers

Alex last September using K&Co papers and Bazzill In Stitchz.
The kittens are still doing well although they weren't impressed with me shutting them in the kitchen when the washing machine was on full spin. I came back from taking the children to school and their fur was all standing on end!

Zebedy and Fizz

We picked up our two 9 week old kittens on Saturday and the children have named them Zebedy and Fizz

This is Fizz. She is Alex's and Becca's

And this is Zebedy. He is Jamie's

And here they are playing round the chair legs.
They are good fun, if a little naughty. The tabby is pretty tame already but the black and white one is more timid and keeps hiding in places where I can't reach him. They are enjoying themselves exploring the house.

Kitties

We had a visit from a local pet rescue group yesterday to find out about getting a pair of kittens. Having popped down to some local pet shops we were advised that this is the best way of going about getting a cat but basically they have to come and visit you first to check you out and make sure you are suitable. We now have to go and visit them on Saturday with the children and hope they will give us the OK. The children are really excited so I hope they wont be disappointed.
I've been doing a bit of scrapping today. Seeing as it is nearly the end of term I thought I better scrap the children's photos from the beginning of the school year.
I've used my Sarah's Cards Spring Fling kit for this one, scraplifting a design from The Scraproom by Brenda Carpenter

Another with my Spring Fling kit using Pencil Lines sketch 60

Sharpay and Seagull poo

Much as I love living by the sea I was not a happy girl yesterday when, whilst out shopping, a seagull splatted on my head! We've had a few near misses before but that was the first time I had actually been hit. Yukk!

I had to post this picture of Becca taken the other day. She had been messing about in my bedroom and had managed to get my hair serum in her eyes. She wouldn't tell us at first what she had done because she knew she had been naughty but her eyes were so sore she could hardly open them. Anyway, she eventually cheered up a little when we put cucumbers on them as she thought she was just like Sharpay from High School Musical.
Here are my 2 latest layouts. Becca flaking out on a drum after her first party

My First Digi layout

Not to be out done by my tecchie mother I thought I would try my hand at digi scrapping and here is my first layout.

I used an old tutorial in Creative Scrapbooking mag by Katie Hadfield and used a free kit by Shabby Princess. I'm quite pleased with it although all the layering baffled me a bit and wouldn't let me do quite what I wanted.
It beats doing housework anyway although I think I am going to have to give in now and sort the washing as it is taking over the kitchen!

Legoland

We've just come back from a lovely few days staying at nan's house. After seeing her, Gwen, mum and dad off on their way to Portland we went to visit some friends nearby.
On Sunday we decided to go to Legoland. Fortunately the weather just about held up and we had a good time even though the children were much too wussy to go on anything that might be the slightest bit fast or scary!

They did, of course, enjoy their all time favourite - the tea-cups.

The dinosaur ride was good.

Jamie enjoyed driving a boat

and my favourite part is looking at all the lego countries, although by that stage in the day Becca was getting tired and whingey so did her best to spoil it for us.
All in all it was a great day out though.
On Monday we drove to Windsor and took a boat ride on the Thames before visiting the castle. Jamie was quite impressed with all the past kings and queens who were buried there in the chapel.
